[ Sebastian laughs warmly, but it's not so much at Olivia as he is endeared by her flustered reaction. He brings his hand obediently to his chest, and he dips into a light bow. ]
Why, of course I will, Olivia. She will be glad to hear it.
[ As for the gift itself, the note is rather brief, and simple:
Dear Olivia,
My thanks for the Christmas gift you sent to me. It was incredibly thoughtful of you, and your cooking is quite adequate. In return, please accept this herbal potion. It will grant you calm when you find yourself in need of such.
Sincerely, Sieglinde
And as for the gift? It's an herbal tea... spiked with a mild sedative. Sebastian doesn't know this, that said. He doesn't know what any of the gifts he's delivering are... ]
[ she hesitates a moment, merely blinking at the top of his bowed head, but it's only when he straightens up again that a flush spreads across her cheeks, tickling her ears, and she dips down into a clumsy curtsy. ]
U-Um. Thank you again for coming all this way to bring it to me...
[ He straightens with an easy, warm smile that's also perfectly charming. tbh it's probably unfair how easily he wears that smile. ]
It is of no inconvenience to me, and the young lady did request it. [ He laughs gently, then adds, ] I only apologize that I did not have something of my own to bring as well. Considering we had cooked together, that would be as good enough a reason to give a gift as any. I quite enjoyed it.
for a few seconds, olivia is actually struck dumb by that smile. how easily it comes to him, like second nature... she thinks if she could learn to smile that that, with that much charisma, she'd have any audience on their knees in tears.
she swallows a little thickly. ]
N-No, you needn't...
[ she hesitates briefly, an idea sparking in her mind. ah, but how to even make this request... ]
Um. A-Actually... There is something you could do for me, if. If you don't mind, that is...!
[ He has to admit, part of him does enjoy pulling these sorts of reactions out of people. Sebastian would never comment on it, since it's a bit rude, but still, he glosses over it warmly. He looks a little surprised, but nods. ]
[ she looks quite torn for a moment. he's probably really busy, and sieglinde might not approve but — but there's no harm in asking, is there? surely that much is alright... ]
Um. I was wondering... if you wouldn't mind... Could you — I mean would you—
[ Sebastian raises an eyebrow in amused curiosity as she starts to stumble through her words for a request, but when it actually comes? He's completely caught off guard. His eyes widen in great surprise, but after that, he can't contain his laughter. He brings a hand up to his mouth to help politely cover it, but his laugh is warm, genial, and not at all mocking. ]
I... My goodness! Pardon me for laughing, Olivia. It is not at you, but, my, I did not expect that to be your request at all.
[ He at least reigns in the laughter, though he can't help but still look cheerful after the good laugh. ]
[ her blush only darkens at the sound of his laughter, though she's relieved not to hear a note of mockery within it. she can certainly understand his surprise — it's an odd request, coming from a very odd girl, but she hopes her earnestness may dull the shock somewhat... ]
N-No, I wouldn't...! Not about this. [ it's apparently Quite Important to her. ] I've been on stage my whole life, and I barely have any charisma to keep me afloat. [ it's a remarkable understatement, to be sure — the olivia on stage is quite different from the olivia off of it, but she's too caught up in her low self-esteem to notice the difference herself. still, she will always grab at any chance for self-improvement. ]
I-I guess it isn't really something that can be taught, maybe it's just something you're born with, but. But if you have any tips at all... I'll be so grateful for them.
[ a pause, and then a weak, bashful smile. ]
If not then — then I wouldn't turn down another opportunity to cook with you.
[ He nods with a warm smile that almost seems endeared. This kind of earnest question is surprising to him, certainly, but it also makes it difficult to resist the urge to subtlety tease her. He's well-behaved for what he is, but he's also rather tricky by nature... ]
If you would ask me such a thing, I am flattered, of course. Charisma does really come down to one thing, though, I must say.
[ He reaches out to take her hand, and so long as Sebastian will allow her to do so, he places a kiss right on her knuckles. It's perfectly prince-like, because he's very much full of himself, for one, but also because it demonstrates his point. ]

The greatest secret is confidence, Olivia.
